Dear Future Me,
I don’t know how many seasons have passed for you.
I don’t know what shape your days now take, or how deeply time has softened the ache.
But I do know this —
you still carry him.

Even after all this time.
You may not think about him every day.
Maybe his name doesn’t fall from your lips as often,
maybe his face only visits you in dreams.
But somewhere within,

Your soulmate in furless body.
